Gabe Murchison (he/him) is a social epidemiologist whose research addresses the impact of marginalization on mental health and substance use in LGBTQ adolescents and young adults, focusing on the role of close peer relationships. He is Principal Investigator of the Whole Selves Project, a community-engaged research project addressing how transgender young adults’ romantic relationship experiences shape their depression, anxiety, and alcohol use over time, funded by a K99/R00 award from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
