Speaker bio: Dr. Debbie Cheng is Professor of Biostatistics at the Boston University School of Public Health. Her research focus is on applied statistics and the design and analysis of clinical trials. She has 25 years of experience collaborating with investigators on studies of substance abuse and HIV. She is Associate Director of the Providence/Boston Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), Co-Director of the Biostatistics Core for the CFAR, and Director of the Biostatistics and Data Management Core for the NIH-funded International URBAN ARCH Center. Dr. Cheng is founding Director of the BUSPH Population Health Data Science Program. She has taught courses in the design and conduct of clinical trials and has been active for many years in providing statistical mentoring to numerous trainees from multiple institutions worldwide. Dr. Cheng is an elected fellow of the American Statistical Association.
