In a monumental effort to reshape Indonesia's healthcare system, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin and his team have achieved what many thought impossible—filling 79 years' worth of healthcare system gaps in three short years. Drawing inspiration from The Beatles' song "8 Days a Week," this talk reflects on the relentless pace and dedication of his Ministry, likening their effort to "23 days packed into each day" and the impact of their work to "150 days a week."
This talk will delve into the key strategies and reforms implemented to transform the healthcare landscape, from reforming health law, ensuring equitable access to health services, accelerating digitalization, to strengthening the healthcare workforce and infrastructure. Minister Budi will share insights into the challenges faced and the innovation and collaboration required to push the health sector forward at an unprecedented pace.
