Donato Tramuto Appointed to Dean’s Advisory Board.
Donato J. Tramuto, CEO and vice chairman of Physicians Interactive, has been appointed to the BUSPH Dean’s Advisory Board, a role that will assist the Dean and the School in strategic planning and resource development.
Dean’s Advisory Board members serve as ambassadors for BUSPH, working with the Dean to identify and involve individuals, foundations and corporations to invest in health solutions. Tramuto joins executives from UnitedHealth Group, CNN, Project HOPE, and Health Data Institute.
Donato TramutoTogether the Board will assist Dean Robert Meenan in: evaluating strategic plans developed by the Dean and leadership team; providing advice on financial matters; assisting in raising philanthropic support for School priorities; and identifying other organizations and individuals who can provide additional education and support in the field of public health. In addition to his duties at Physicians Interactive (PI), Tramuto is also president and co-founder of mobile healthcare non-profit Health eVillages.
“Donato brings a unique combination of knowledge, expertise and connections in support of the School’s mission,” said Dean Robert Meenan. “His passion for work on behalf of vulnerable patient populations, to which our students and faculty are committed, is inspiring. He will make a great addition to our talented membership of the Dean’s Advisory Board.”
Tramuto was central to the growth of Physicans Interactive from its beginnings as a small, Web-based healthcare marketing company to its current description as “a market-leading provider of comprehensive multi-channel clinical services and resources solutions for healthcare professionals and life science companies.”
In 2011, Tramuto and the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights co-founded and launched Health eVillages, which provides clinicians with mobile healthcare technology that enables them to “deliver safe and efficient medical care in the most challenging clinical environments, anywhere in the world.”

Since 1976, BUSPH has played an increasingly prominent role in the field of academic public health, earning a national and international reputation for its education programs, research capabilities and service activities. Today the school’s faculty, students and alumni work in communities, agencies, clinics and labs to find real-world solutions to public health problems.
