  1. I don’t understand why previous guidelines would deny people ART treatment if they have an HIV diagnosis. Wouldn’t early treatment be recommended to reduce viral load (and chances of spreading HIV) and improve health outcomes? Is there an alternative treatment these people would get? I think it’s an important study, but to me seems fairly obvious. Perhaps treatment procedures are different in other countries vs. the U.S.
