2019 Barkley Holiday Party.
On December 11, the Activist Lab held its seventh annual Barkley Holiday Party to spread cheer to the children of the Ruth Lillian Barkley Housing Development.
The development is located just a few blocks from campus and many of the children who live there also use the services and programs of the nearby Blackstone Community Center, which is an Activist Lab partner.
Previously called the Cathedral public housing development, the complex was renamed in 2013 for longtime resident leader Ruth Lillian Barkley, who was described as a tireless community leader.
