President: Kinkini Bhaduri (she/her)
Kinkini
Kinkini (she/her) is a first-year MPH student pursuing dual certification in Healthcare Management & Epidemiology/Biostatistics. She completed her Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences and MBA in 2019 from Mumbai. Following this, she accumulated four years of full-time work experience in consulting, sales, and strategy for the lifesciences services market. Kinkini aspires to dedicate her life to improving health outcomes and eradicating access barriers across populations. Apart from academics, Kinkini enjoys fine arts, coffee, reading, and writing. Director of Operations: Sydney Nelson (she/her)
Sydney
Sydney (she/her) is a first-year MPH student pursuing a Healthcare Management certificate. She is originally from Hudson, WI, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2021. Prior to starting graduate school, Sydney worked as a medical assistant primarily with low-income substance abuse and OB-GYN patients. Directly seeing how difficult it was for her patients to receive quality healthcare motivated Sydney to pursue a degree in public health to gain the tools to increase access and affordability within healthcare for those who need it most. Director of Finance: Akbota Aman (she/her)
Akbota
Akbota (she/her) is a first-year MPH student at Boston University, specializing in Healthcare Management, with an expected graduation in 2025. Hailing from Kazakhstan, Shymkent, she holds a robust medical background; she has completed MD in Internal Medicine from Astana Medical University and has had experience in Pediatrics from Nazarbayev University. Akbota’s international clinical experience, spanning Turkey, South Korea, and Poland, fuels her interest in integrating healthcare management with public health to enhance care quality and address global health disparities. Passionate about healthcare startups and digital innovations, Akbota is committed to exploring how these advancements can enhance patient care. Outside her academic pursuits, she cherishes spending quality time with her son and engages in activities that enrich her personal and family life. Director of Professional Development: Ammar Hussain (he/him)
Ammar
Ammar (He/him) is a first-year MPH student pursuing a Healthcare Management certificate. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 2023 with a B.S. in Biology, Health, and Society. As a pre-dental student, he witnessed health disparities in the treatment and management of healthcare, specifically within the dental field. This experience led him to the Sales and Marketing field, where he works as an Intern at a medical device company. Ammar aims to merge his knowledge of healthcare, operations, and marketing to focus on preventive care and increasing healthcare access. Director of Strategic Initiatives: Andreas Mason
Andreas
Andreas is a first-year MPH student from Houston, TX pursuing the Healthcare Management certificate. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience and Psychology at Boston University in 2023. This past summer, Andreas worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in their in-patient psychiatry unit as a patient care tech. At BIDMC, he became interested in learning how quality and process improvement initiatives help improve a patient’s experience within a large hospital. At BUSPH, Andreas hopes to develop and improve skills in project management and quality improvement and ultimately provide patients with high quality care. Director of Marketing: Nastasia Lavrinovich
Natasia
Nastasia is a first-year MPH student pursuing a healthcare management certificate. Initially from Northern New Jersey, she pursued a degree in Political Science at Wake Forest University. She worked in medical device sales in New York City before transitioning to healthcare management. Motivated by a desire to improve efficiency and patient care in healthcare organizations, Nastasia is passionate about bridging gaps and enhancing operations in the healthcare field. Director of Partnerships and Collaboration: Maria Cullen (she/her)
Maria
Maria (she/her/hers) is a first year MPH student from St. Paul, MN pursuing a Healthcare Management certificate. Maria completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Classical Studies from the College of St. Benedict in 2020. After graduation, she began working as a virologist at Element Materials Technology in Minnesota, where she developed a passion for improving healthcare systems. Maria hopes to enhance healthcare access, delivery and quality for all populations by pursuing a degree in Healthcare Management.
