Our main objectives are to help students adjust to life in Boston and at BU, enable them to build professional relationships, and share the cultural richness of the public health experience. Sneha Sinha (She/her/hers), President
Sneha, President
Sneha is a second year Master of Public Health (MPH) student at Boston University School of Public Health, focusing on Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She finished her dentistry degree in India, and she is eager to expand her horizons in health research with the Public Health degree. Her interests revolve around data analysis, cancer research, and drug trials. Urmi is a trained dentist and healthcare consultant from India, currently in her second year as an MPH student. She is dedicated to developing her research and analytical skills to make impactful contribution to the public health sector. She is a pet lover, foodie, and sports fanatic. As internal vice president, she aspires to build a supportive environment for all students, fostering connections and promoting their success. Krupa is a dentist from India and a first-year Master of Public Health (MPH) student at BU. She is pursing a certificate in Epi& Biostat, with additional interests in mental health and substance use disorders. As the external vice president, Krupa is dedicated to creating a supportive community where students can reach out to her and be themselves. Sha aims to encourage every student to recognize their highest potential and give their best in everything they do. Krupa ‘s goals are to serve as a liaison between the organization and external parties, represent the organization at events and meetings, and develop strategies to increase the organization’s visibility and impact in the community. Anshita is a second-year MPH student with her functional certificate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a context certificate in Pharmaceuticals Development, Delivery, and Access. As an international and first-generation master’s student, Anshita aims to make an impact on campus in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) space. Pujitha, Administrative Officer
Pujitha is a current MPH student at BUSPH. She is passionate about seeing people from diverse backgrounds and cultures come together under one roof to support each other and collaborate with the leadership team to help international students thrive both academically, socially while making our community feel like home. As an E-board member, Pujitha strives to create a welcoming environment where students from diverse cultures can connect and support one another. Her goal is to ensure that international students not only excel academically but also find a sense of belonging and community within our organization. Peevara is a second-year MPH student, pursuing her certificates in Epidemiology & Biostatistics and Global Health Program Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation. She aims to connect cultures and build a supportive community for everyone. With this purpose, Peevara choose to become one of the members of the ISO E-board team. As a finance chair, her goal is to ensure ISO’s financial strategies support the exciting activities that are planned, fostering a strong sense of community at BUSPH. Ge is a second year MPH student from China, pursing her certificates in Epi& Biostat and infectious disease, and she is passionate to bring her power and make changes to this sector. She is also the student representative of DEIJ Committee, who serve as a liaison between faculty stuff and students. As the social media chair, her goal is to make ISO’s social media a better place for providing useful information to coming students, bringing current BUSPH students together and build up networking. Ankita is a psychologist from India who currently diving into the world of public health, working on her MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics and Global Health Program – Monitoring, Evaluation, Implementation. As the event coordinator for the International Student Organization, she is on a mission to bring together our vibrant, diverse community to celebrate unique journeys and cultures, as life’s better when we connect, share, and have fun! Ojasvi Pranav Vachharajani (She/her/hers), Co-Events Coordinator
Ojasvi, Co-Events Coordinator
Ojasvi started her journey and completed her degree in Dentistry in India. The experience of serving patients and seeing the real impact of health interventions made her want to dig deeper into public health field. So, she decided to take the plunge and is now in her third semester of MPH, specializing in Epidemiology and Biostatistics—and she’s loving it! As an international student who’s navigated moving to a new country, adjusting to cultural differences, juggling part-time jobs, and figuring out internships, Ojasvi is excited to help others do the same. As Co-Events Coordinator, she’ll be organizing events to bring students together—whether it’s for cultural celebrations, study groups, or social hangouts, her goal is to make this year fun and memorable. Fun facts: Ojasvi has always been more of a bookworm, the kind of person who’d choose a cozy reading nook over a movie night any day. She also has a soft spot for cats (seriously, they’re the best), and she’s spent years training in classical music. On top of all that, she’s worked as a professional voice-over artist.

Karen is a first year MPH student from India, with her concentrations in epidemiology & biostatistics and clinical pharmacist. As the Outreach Chair for this academic year, she tends to conduct outreach events in collaboration with other student organizations, mental health awareness campaigns, and other fun events for students. Jungyoon Huh is an international student from Jeju Island, South Korea, pursuing her MPH certificate in Epi & Biostat. Yoon began her career in the biotech business sector, but her passion for public health grew through her weekly volunteer work with adolescents, where she works to create supportive environments that foster growth and connection. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career in the field of public health. As a first-year rep, Yoon is excited to bring her valuable leadership experience from her undergraduate years, where she supported international students during admissions, on campus, and post-graduation, and she aims to advocate for the needs of international students and cultivate a global perspective to foster an inclusive community and enhance student engagement. Shivani Pande (she/her/hers), First Year Representative
Shivani, First Year Representative
Shivani is a dentist from India, who is pursuing her functional certificate in environmental health and context certificate in maternal and child health. After joining ISO team, her mission is to pair up new international students with seniors from the same cultural backgrounds to help them feel more supportive and confident in a new environment. As a first-year rep, she tries to make international students experience a supportive community and help them make cross cultural connections, reducing the sense of isolation that comes with being in a new country.
