Boston University School of Social Work’s (BUSSW) Bedford campus – one of four off-campus MSW program sites – hosts a free community event focused on patient-centered healing practices presented by campus director Yunieska Krug, plus an information session on the School’s part-time Master of Social Work program. Field education partners, local practitioners, and current and prospective MSW students are all invited to attend.

The presentation, titled “Cultivating Safe Spaces for Patient-Centered Healing,” will explore equity issues in behavioral health care delivery systems by examining privilege, power, and bias in clinical settings. One continuing education credit is available for social workers licensed in Massachusetts.

Presenter Yunieska Krug is the director of the Bedford Off-Campus MSW Program, as well as a licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and a licensed master’s-level alcohol and drug abuse counselor in New Hampshire. She holds certifications in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, and mental health in aging populations.

Following the presentation, an information session for prospective students will provide an overview of the School’s part-time MSW program in Bedford and an opportunity to connect directly with the BUSSW Admissions team and Bedford campus director.
