4/14: Prof. Jacobson López Shares Expertise at BU LGBTQIA+ Scholars Series Event

Assistant Professor Daniel Jacobson López of Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) will discuss the effects of racism and homophobia on the sexual assault reporting process in a virtual Scholars Series event hosted by the BU LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff and cosponsored by BUSSW and the Center for Innovation & Social Science at BU. The series showcases faculty research centered around the theme of queer representation and visibility.
At the April 14th event, Jacobson López will share his research on the experiences of gay Black and Latino sexual assault survivors and the mistreatment they endure when disclosing details of their assaults to authorities and medical care providers.
