Objectives & Tactics

Build anti-oppressive organizational systems

  • Provide diversity, equity, and inclusion training to the entire BUSSW community on recruitment, search, hiring, and retention and incorporate benchmarks into annual evaluations
  • Understand the needs of students, faculty, and staff across platforms
  • Clarify the processes by which different constituencies participate in School departments, programs, and committees

Create a culture of support among students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners

  • Annually assess progress towards strategic planning goals
  • Create mechanisms that lead to a cohesive, inclusive, sustainable environment

Assure equitable retention, graduation, and job placement rates for all students

  • Collect and analyze retention, graduation, and job placement data by student characteristics across all platforms
  • Identify challenges and barriers to retention, graduation, and job placement for all students
  • Implement academic and supportive success systems to increase retention, graduation, and job placement rates across all platforms
