Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) is co-sponsoring a five-part lecture series that will bring leading national experts in autism and neurodiversity to the Cape Cod community this summer.

The Autism Lecture Series is presented by the Riverview School, an independent boarding and day school in East Sandwich, Mass., that educates students with complex language and learning challenges. National experts from Boston University, Yale, UC Davis, the Autism Science Foundation, and The EPIC Programs will speak on topics including autism and anxiety, language in autism, neurodiversity, and sex education for individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

The lectures, which are free and open to the public, are intended for both professionals and community members. All lectures will be held in-person only. Massachusetts social workers will be eligible to receive 1.5 continuing education credits provided by The Network for Professional Education at BUSSW for each lecture attended.

BUSSW is connected to the Cape Cod community through its Cape Cod campus, established in 2002 in Barnstable, Mass. The Cape Cod MSW program brings the School’s top-tier Master of Social Work program to the Cape and surrounding areas with a part-time, blended format tailored to the Cape community by offering in-person classes in fall, winter and spring, and online learning in the summer.
