BUSSW Community Shares Expertise at 2023 NASW-MA Symposium

Faculty and alumni of Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) will share their expertise with social work practitioners and researchers across Massachusetts at the National Association of Social Workers Massachusetts Chapter’s (NASW-MA) annual conference, held on April 27-28, 2023.
Following the theme, “Social Workers Persist: Global Problems Demand Local Solutions,” BUSSW community members will present on topics including the refugee crisis, neurodiversity-affirming care, abolition, antiracism, and research skills, with former BUSSW lecturer and BRIDGE Program co-director Mojdeh Rohani presenting the keynote address. As a conference sponsor, BUSSW will also have a presence in the Virtual Exhibit Hall for participants interested in learning more about the School’s research and programs. BUSSW is represented behind the scenes by Associate Professor Ashley Davis and alum Sherry Cohen (SSW’88) who co-chair the Symposium Program Planning Committee.
