BUSSW Faculty & Doctoral Students Present at 2022 APHA Annual Meeting

Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) will have a strong presence at this year’s APHA Annual Meeting & Expo on Nov. 6-9. In addition to sharing a booth with BU’s School of Public Health, ranked 6th in the nation of public health graduate schools, BUSSW will be represented by faculty and doctoral students whose work lies at the intersection of social work and public health. Their sessions cover a wide range of topics, from behavioral health to stigma, cannabis use, and public health social work approaches to meeting the Grand Challenges of Social Work. Several focus on particular populations: aging adults, gay Latino sexual assault survivors, refugees with disabilities, Black gay men, and young people trapped in the cradle-to-prison pipeline in the Massachusetts juvenile legal system.
