The Fall River Program at Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) hosts a free workshop on promoting mental wellness with adolescents. A Q&A, refreshments, and an information session for the Fall River MSW program will be held after the presentation.

Geared to social work practitioners, the workshop addresses how to connect with youth, and how to better understand their behavior and priorities.

The workshop will be led by BUSSW Lecturer Rick Cresta, LICSW, who works with court-involved youth in private practice, and is a trainer and consultant for DCF, DYS, and DPH among others. He will explore innovative ways to engage youth, understand their values and needs, and help them develop healthy coping strategies for dealing with the stressful and complicated world in which we live.

3 free Mass. continuing education credits will be available to licensed social workers.

Individuals interested in earning their MSW at the BUSSW Fall River campus are invited to stay for an information session following the reception. Attendees are welcome to join the presentation and reception as well, or come for the info session only. Additional details about the information session can be found on our Admissions Events webpage.
