Practice and scholarly focus

Dr. Henry is an experienced clinician providing direct services to persons with co-occuring mental health and substance use disorders who are involved with the criminal justice system. Her research is focused at the intersection of health and criminal justice, with an emphasis on mental health/substance use disorders and infectious diseases including HIV/HCV. Her research uses mixed methods and has examined how traumatic/adverse experiences act as determinants of mental health/substance use disorders and criminal justice involvement. She has also conducted research on policies to improve treatment outcomes for this population.
