Practice and scholarly focus

I have worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the past nine years. My clinical background includes working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds to help them identify and achieve their personal therapeutic goals. I have experience using supportive counseling, motivational interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions. I have a passion for client care and believe strongly in a person’s right to enjoy a high quality of life while respecting their right to self-determination.

Professionally, I currently serve as an adjunct faculty member with both Boston University and Wester Chester University. I also work as a Crisis Social Worker in an Emergency Room in a Philadelphia hospital. Previously, I worked for three years as Family Advocacy Treatment Manager with the U.S.A.F. in the United Kingdom and worked for six years with the Veterans Administration where I primarily served as the Program Manager for Returning Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans at the Manchester, NH VAMC.
