The SSW MarCom team, in partnership with BU IS&T, administers and monitors the SSW website.

If you are a faculty and/or staff member who would like to have access to edit the site, please send a request to ssw-marcom@bu.edu to get set up with a WordPress account.

When your WordPress account is created, you will be granted a Section Editor role with the ability to edit pages pertaining to your position’s department only. To gain access to additional pages outside of your department, please mention those needs when requesting an account.

All SSW WordPress users are strongly encouraged to attend BU IS&T’s WordPress & Web Training once access is granted. Users can also consult the WordPress How-To resources on BU IS&T’s TechWeb site here for basic tips and tricks.

Guidelines

  1. All content on the site is subject to review by the MarCom team. The MarCom team will reach out to users with any concerns.
  2. Please inform the MarCom team of any significant changes to pages that go beyond text or link edits before such changes are published.
  3. For any advanced edits (changes to a page layout, menu restructuring, etc.), please send a request via the project request form to the MarCom team for assistance.
  4. For any web-related issues or troubleshooting that cannot be solved via TechWeb, please contact the MarCom Team. If necessary, they will pass your issue onto BU IS&T if it cannot be solved in-house.
