Scarlet Safe Walk (formerly the Escort Security Service) provides walking escorts to students and employees seven nights a week, from 9 p.m. to midnight on the Charles River Campus.

Resisting Aggression with Defense (RAD) Program
The Boston University Police Department (BUPD) offers self-defense programs that train both men and women in basic self-defense techniques and offer viable options when confronted with various threats of violence and aggression.

Safety Awareness for Everyone (SAFE)
SAFE is an initiative to inform the BU community about the comprehensive support provided by the BUPD in the event of an active threat. It also aims to empower the community with tips and resources to keep themselves and each other prepared and as safe as possible.
