Hispanic Youth Leadership Academy announces new Summer Programs

Associate Dean for Students and Community Life Cristian De La Rosa serves as HYLA’s National Director

For more than 20 years, the Hispanic Youth Leadership Academy (HYLA), in partnership with The United Methodist Church and The Episcopal Church, has supported Latinx high school and college students as they explore their calls to ministry, strengthen their faith, and serve their churches and communities. Last week, HYLA announced three pivotal summer training programs held around the United States, which will be focused on Christian discipleship, leadership in the church, and access to higher education for Hispanic Youth.

HYLA National Director Cristian De La Rosa, Associate Dean for Students and Community Life at BUSTH, says “it is always good to find the hope, energy, and possibilities [these youth] represent for our churches.”
