Kim Macdonald (she/her) leads communications, marketing, and content creation efforts at Boston University School of Theology (STH). A creative and strategic professional, Kim has two decades of experience in brand and social media management, distribution strategy, content development, and enrollment marketing. Here at STH, she has shaped the brand of the School, implemented a solid communications infrastructure, launched new marketing initiatives, and is committed to telling authentic stories that uphold STH’s prophetic legacy and vision.

Prior to working at Boston University, Kim was a vice president and manager of creative services at Loomis, Sayles & Company, where she managed a corporate re-branding across seven global offices and oversaw creation and implementation of new designs and graphics throughout the firm’s digital and print materials.

A proud double alumna of BU, Kim earned her BFA in Graphic Design magna cum laude from the College of Fine Arts, and her MS in advertising with nearly a 4.0 from the College of Communication. She is also a longtime member of Boston University’s Marsh Chapel Choir and serves as a lecturer at the College of Communication.

Outside of STH, Kim serves on the board of directors for both Wanakee and the Boston Choral Ensemble. She has run four marathons and completed 19 triathlons, and enjoys open water swimming at nearby Walden Pond during the summer months. Her current hobbies include painting and drawing, watching historical documentaries, and spending time with her husband and two children.
