STH Celebrates Retirements of Three Faculty Members
May 2018 – The Boston University School of Theology has recently celebrated the upcoming retirements of three of its long-serving faculty members. Professors Robert C. Neville, Nancy Ammerman, and John Hart were celebrated with dedicated panels and reflections from colleagues throughout their illustrious careers.

| Robert C. Neville, Professor of Philosophy, Religion, and Theology, was celebrated on April 19. The panel on the work of Professor Neville included an introduction by Professor Wesley Wildman with panel presentations from Michael Raposa, Department of Religion Studies, Lehigh University; Bin Song, Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Religion, Washington College; David Rohr, PhD Candidate, Boston University; Nancy K. Frankenberry, John Phillips Professor in Religion, Emeritus, Dartmouth College. |

| Nancy Ammerman, Professor of Sociology of Religion, was celebrated on April 25. The panel on her work included an introduction by Professor Steven Sandage with panel presentations from Dr. R. Stephen Warner, Dr. Joyce Mercer, Dr. Bill McKinney, and Drs. Shelly Rambo and Rady Roldán Figueroa. |

| John Hart, Professor of Christian Ethics, was celebrated on May 2. The panel on his work included an introduction by Professor Walter Fluker and presentations from Larry Rasmussen, Roger Gottlieb, Tallessyn Grenfell-Lee, Derrick Muwina, Christine Nakyeyune, and Ian Mevorach. The event was closed with a retirement blessing ritual by Rev. Norm Faramelli, a long-time colleague of Professor Hart. |
