Warm Coat Drive to Provide Coats for Students
It’s time to search your closet for that gently used coat you may not need. Another BU student could put that coat to good use this winter.
The Warm Coat Drive is an opportunity for all members of the BU community to donate gently worn or new coats that will be distributed to BU students. Any remaining coats will be donated to Goodwill Industries.
- Coat Collection October 10 & 11. Collection bins at BUMC (next to Chequers Café), George Sherman Union Lobby, FitRec Lobby and Center for Career Development (6th floor of Yawkey Center for Student Services).
- Coat Distribution October 16 & 17. If you are a student concerned about keeping warm this winter, stop by GSU Room 315 on the Charles River Campus on 10/16 from 3-6 pm or Med Campus Instructional Building Room L107 on 10/17 from 12-2 pm to pick up a coat. Coats distributed on a first come, first served basis.
The Warm Coat Drive is part of a larger effort to ensure students’ core needs are met. Explore resources available to support core needs both on campus and in the local community including meals, clothing, and emergency needs.
The Warm Coat Drive is a partnership between Center for Career Development, Newbury Center, Student Wellbeing, and Sustainability.
