AIM: Tuition & Payment

The 2024 session of AIM was a great success. Please check back on December 15 for details about next summer’s program and to submit an application. Sign up for an email reminder.

In summer 2024, the total charge for a commuter student enrolled in the AIM program was $5,462.50. The total charge for a residential student was $6,925, which includes room, board (19 meals per week), and all fees. Summer 2025 expenses will be posted on December 15.

The total charge for the AIM program includes tuition, housing, and all meals in the dining hall. It also covers textbooks and all sponsored activities during the three-week program. A nonrefundable deposit (applied to tuition) is required once you commit to attending AIM in order to secure your place in the program.

The application fee and spending money are not included in the total charge. You may also purchase a three-week membership to BU’s Fitness & Recreation Center for an additional fee when you arrive on campus.

A fee is added to your account for each Student Health Services visit.

There is no financial aid available for the AIM program.

Note: Application fees and tuition deposits are nonrefundable. No refund or reduction in the total charge will be made if you arrive to the program late, leave the program early, or are dismissed from the program due to a violation of the program guidelines.

Payment deadline

The payment deadline is indicated in your offer of acceptance. Full payment not received by the deadline may result in the cancellation of your registration. Students accepted after the payment deadline must submit payment in full within one week of receiving payment instructions.

How to pay

BU accepts payment for AIM by credit card, check, or international wire transfer. You will need your BU ID number to submit payment.

Specific information for making payment, along with your BU ID number, is provided through the online enrollment portal. After completing your electronic Participation Agreement form and paying your nonrefundable deposit, you will receive an email with information about accessing the portal.

Note: International students are also required to submit their Immunization Requirements Form before they can be registered for the program and receive a BU ID number.
