High School Student Application Information
If you’re interested in pushing yourself academically while experiencing college life, making friends with fellow students, and engaging in social activities around Boston and on campus, you’ve come to the right place. Start by selecting the BU pre-college program you would like to apply for.
Academic Immersion
For rising juniors and seniors: focus intensively on medicine, psychology, creative writing, or business. Residential or commuter. Three weeks.
Note: The AIM Medicine, Psychology and Business tracks are now full and we are no longer accepting applications for summer 2024.
The AIM Creative Writing track is still open and accepting applications.
High School Honors
For rising juniors and seniors: study alongside undergraduates in BU courses and earn up to eight college credits. Residential, commuter, or online. Six or seven weeks.
RISE Internship/Practicum
For rising seniors: conduct university-level research in state-of-the-art laboratories. Residential or commuter. Six weeks.

Summer Challenge
For rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors: choose two seminars from our list of 20 and get a taste of life at BU. Residential only. Two weeks.
Summer Preview
For rising eighth graders, freshmen, and sophomores: explore one subject in depth while getting to know Boston and BU. Residential or commuter. One week.
