Bring Your Own Problem
On July 31, 2019 Boston University co-hosted a Bring Your Own Problem event with Second Nature, ENGIE, and the Boston Green Ribbon Commission to explore energy, sustainability, and climate change issues and opportunities in higher education. Dozens of energy managers and key stakeholders from area universities participated.
Presenters
Dennis Carlberg, Associate Vice President of University Sustainability, presented on the BU Climate Action Plan. He was joined by a George Nelson, Director of Origination at ENGIE Renewables, who provided an overview of BU Wind.
Caitlin Holley of the Capital Projects team at Ohio State University led a presentation entitled “Building Energy Performance & Conservation: Performance Contracting vs. Long-term Partnerships.”
Dr. Michael E. Webber, the Josey Centennial Professor in Energy Resources and a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, shared a preview of the concepts from his book “Power Trip: The Story of Energy.”
