Debbie

Internship Specialist

Debbie is originally from California where she studied her undergraduate degree and took advantage of two study abroad experiences: one in Salzburg, Austria and one in Curu, Costa Rica. Lifechanging in different ways, she was encouraged to pursue a career in international education. Her career started in the admissions department of a US university where she recruited international students. She relocated to Sydney to pursue a master’s degree in international studies during which time she volunteered at EducationUSA, a part of the US State Department at the US Consulate. Debbie has worked in both US and Australian universities in Sydney in various roles including, admissions, operations, marketing and internships. She was the director of an US study abroad centre in Sydney for many years and also oversaw the internship placements for New York University’s Sydney program.

Debbie also advises Australian students and families on the US university admission process through her business, Internationally Educated. Debbie joined Boston University in late 2023. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
