Description of Impact

Certificate issues had caused login problems with our COVID-19 testing lab. Full service was restored last night at 10:00 pm.

Description of Impact

Certificate issues have caused login problems with our COVID-19 testing lab.

Incident Description and Resolution

IS&T teams have determined that the vendor needs to apply a new ADFS certificate.

Additional Information

The student housing website has been fixed. The Covid lab has a workaround in place so this is not affecting their work. The vendor is planning to update the certificate after 9PM tonight.

Description of Impact

Certificate issues have caused login problems with our COVID-19 testing lab and our Student Housing systems (staff access).

Incident Description and Resolution

IS&T teams have resolved the incident.

Additional Information

The cause of this incident was determined to be a transition between ADFS certificates. The old certificate has not yet expired (Nov 5 is the expiration date.), but some systems seem to have had an issue when our BU team uploaded the new certificate before the old one expired. Current Status

IS&T teams continue to work with vendors on the certificate issues. A work around is in place for the COVID-19 lab staff who have been able to resume their work.

Initially the issue was believed limited to our eLabs system, but additional information has updated us that this is a certificate issue across the two different services.

Lab staff are unable to log into eLab systems for COVID-19 testing and processing.

Current Status

IS&T teams have not yet identified the cause of the incident, but are investigating. A work around has been implemented to begin getting staff back into their systems which will allow them to continue to do their work as IS&T resolves the issue.
