Description of Impact

There were certificate issues with some of the website addresses used to access Blackboard Learn. The main website address, learn.bu.edu was fully functional and could be used by all as a work-around to access their online course sites.

cader.bu.edu and onlinecampus.bu.edu can now be accessed via their standard website addresses.

IS&T teams have resolved the incident.

The cause of this incident was determined to be issues with certificates for the website addresses used to access Blackboard Learn.

Current Status

IS&T teams have identified the cause of the incident (issues with website certificates) and are actively working with the vendor to resolve the issue.

Additional Information

Until further notice, anyone looking to access Blackboard Learn at Boston University should use the learn.bu.edu website address. This post will be updated when that has changed.
