Accessibility and AI Design in Blackboard Ultra
In this advanced workshop, we will leverage Blackboard’s built-in accessibility tool named Ally and demonstrate how it can assist you and your students to make course materials more accessible. We will also provide an overview of Ultra’s AI Design Assistant, which can help you generate various course materials.

Blackboard Ultra Gradebook Grid View
Join us for an overview of Blackboard's Gradebook Grid View, a powerful new experience designed to help faculty efficiently manage grading and student performance. During this session, we'll explore key functionality, best practices, and time-saving tips for viewing, entering, and updating grades, as well as workflow options that support effective assessment management. A Blackboard expert will share more about this new Gradebook experience, highlight key use cases, and provide practical guidance for getting started. The session will conclude with ample time for questions.

In the workshop, we will highlight the benefits of using an LMS to enhance course accessibility, streamline teaching workflows, and improve student engagement. Participants will explore Ultra’s intuitive interface, smart grading tools, content organization features, and accessibility features. Gradebook and Groups in Blackboard Ultra
In this advanced workshop, we will explore all features of the Blackboard Ultra gradebook and explore setting up groups for your course. Time will be provided for gradebook support questions. Early semester sessions will focus on setting up your gradebook, and end of semester sessions will focus on finalizing your grades.

Making your Blackboard Ultra Courses More Accessible
In this advanced workshop, we will demonstrate how to make course content in Blackboard Ultra more accessible for students. Using Blackboard Ally and other BU-supported (or freely available) tools, we will demonstrate common accessibility issues and the methods to resolve them. The bulk of the session time will be devoted to attendees actively working on their course sites with IETL staff available to support and answer any questions. Previous knowledge of or familiarity with Blackboard Ally recommended but not required.
