CAMMS (Computer Aided Maintenance Management System) is the central database and web application suite used by the Facilities Management & Operations to support several business processes.  The suite of applications that exist within the framework of CAMMS include: Facilities Operations Management, Construction/Planning/Design Management, Energy/Utilities Management, Work Force Management, and Financial Information Management.

Benefits

Faculty and staff may submit requests in CAMMS for maintenance services or major projects.  The CAMMS infrastructure is used by the Facilities Management & Operations department to track, manage, and charge/pay for facilities related costs and work and events.  The administrative interfaces of CAMMS allow BU Facilities Management & Operations to track and process all facilities related requests efficiently and with tie –back to the proper department and/or SAP fund center needing the work.  Utilities and work force (contractor) task management are also tracked and administered by Facilities Management & Operations through the use of the CAMMS suite of applications.

Key Features

Key features of CAMMS include tracking of work orders for construction & maintenance work, vendor/contractor assignment of work orders and status, construction project tracking, event project tracking, utilities monitoring and cost allocations, and other such functions that are core support activities of the Facilities Management & Operations department.

Requirements

You must have role-based and budgetary authority to request facilities-related expenditures on behalf of a department, school, or program.

Getting Started

Requests and requirements can be initiated by contacting Facilities Management & Operations directly by phone or by defining and submitting a work order request through CAMMS.  Further information and detailed instructions, as well as a link to enter a request directly into CAMMS, can be found at the Facilities Management & Operations Request for Services web page.
