Note: Zoom updates the minimum application version quarterly. For more information on the current and upcoming enforcement, please see Zoom’s software lifecycle policy article.

Zoom regularly releases updates for their apps. As new features are released, hosts and participants may need to update to take advantage of everything Zoom has to offer.

Some Zoom updates are required, but most are optional. You can check for these updates using the built-in updater. If you use Zoom on a mobile device, check your app store for the latest version.

Checking for Updates

  1. While signed in to the Zoom app, click your initials or profile picture at the upper right of the window.
  2. In the menu that appears, click “Check for Updates”
  3. When an update is available, Zoom will show you information about what has changed. You can then download and install the update by clicking “Update.”

Administrative access may be required to complete the update. If you have any questions, you can submit a request for assistance.
