Community Health Monitoring provides reporting and analytics designed to give an overview of public health data within the BU community. This includes custom and self-service report and dashboard development combining information from multiple data systems.
Benefits
Community Health Monitoring enables senior, medical, and research leadership to access trend and monitoring reports regarding BU’s public health, compliance, and associated services without providing access to protected record-level information. This type of landscape reporting provides the ability to monitor and take pre-emptive action needed to respond to public health challenges.

What to Expect
This service normally will be available 24 by 7 except for standard change windows, as described in IS&T’s standard policies, procedures, and schedules for making changes. Expanded service support may be available in the event of public health emergency situations.
Requirements
- Access is based on business roles and demonstrated need.
- Requests for data or reporting will be reviewed, evaluated, and approved by the President, Provost, senior medical professionals, and/or the Data Trustees.
- HIPPA compliance training and IRB approval may be required.
