IS&T Systems Administration uses Ivanti Security Controls to deploy essential updates for supported Windows operating systems.
There are times that IS&T Systems Administration will need to patch additional applications due to vulnerabilities, but typically we patch the operating system patches and the third-party applications listed below.

We also deploy third-party application patches. In the case where a third-party applications does not utilize patches, an upgrade will be performed

Automatic Patching Process
When IS&T Systems Administration hosts a server, a monthly automatic process is implemented. The process will restart the server, install the updates, and then restart the server again. IS&T Systems Administration typically patches servers during the first three weeks of each month following the guidelines with our existing IS&T change window: IS&T Change Windows. IS&T Systems Administration patches servers during the first three weeks of each month, where typically the fist week for test servers and production servers later on. When new servers are built, IS&T Systems Administration will reach out to our clients about a patch schedule.
