The Update My Personal Information application is a self service web portal where members of Boston University can make changes to certain attributes that are displayed in the Online Directory.
Key Features:
Ability to change display name, pronouns, and gender identity
Note – Changing the display name, pronouns, gender identity, etc. on Update My Personal Information will change the online directory, which then propagate to several other BU systems.Change display of BU Email on the Online Directory

Opt out of appearing in the public BU Directory
Requirements:
- Active BU login and password
- Set up Duo authentication
- Personal Email Address
Why do we require your personal email address?
All BU faculty, staff, students, and affiliates must have a personal email address on file to help safeguard your digital identity and so we can reach out to you when aspects of your identity are updated. This ensures that we will be able to reach and contact you regarding your BU account in the event that you are unable to receive communications directly to it. This personal email address will not be made available on the BU Directory.
