In January 2022, after a decade of free services, Google began charging all higher education institutions for the amount of storage used. Google deems “storage” as the total amount of data on Drive, Gmail with attachments, Shared Drives, and Photos.
To bring our storage use to the agreed level , we will be implementing a quotas for all BU Google accounts beginning on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
QUOTAS
- Faculty/Emeritus accounts: 150GB
- Student accounts: 15GB
- Staff accounts: 15GB
- Retiree accounts: 15GB
- Affiliate/Departmental accounts: 15GB
