To create, edit or move files, click on the Files menu within OnDemand. A dropdown menu will appear, listing your home directory and any Project directories you have access to.
Choosing a directory opens the File Explorer in a new browser tab. The files in the selected directory are listed.
| Open in Terminal | Open a terminal window in a new browser tab with you being inside the current selected directory. You can select which login node you wish to use. To access /restricted directories, use scc4.bu.edu |

| New File | Creates a new empty file |
| New Dir | Create a new subdirectory |
| Upload | Copies a file from your local machine to the SCC (max size: 10GB – Use sftp for larger files). This is marked by a green arrow in the image above. |
| Download | Downloads the selected file/directory to your local machine |
| Copy/Move | Brings up a new dialog box where you can select to copy or move the files, then select a destination to paste or move. |
| Delete | Permanently deletes the selected file/directory. |
If you have files in other directories, which are not listed in the dropdown menu, use the Change directory option highlighted in the image below to navigate to the directory you want, as long as you have access to it.

The final third row of buttons allows you to show permissions, dotfiles, and filter files:
