Adobe Premiere

Adobe Premiere is a commercial package used to generate movie files, either to then be displayed on a computer or written out to a DVD. Premiere supports writing movies in a variety of different formats. Two commonly used formats are Quicktime and AVI.

Adobe Encore

Commercial packaged used to produce a DVD after you have generated the movie files in Premiere or another package. Encore is used to organize the set of movie and files and add on such things as an introductory screen, menus, controls, chapters, etc…
