National Coming Out Day was established on October 11, 1988 on the one year anniversary of the National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. Today, this national holiday celebrates the bravery members of the LGBTQIA+ community demonstrate to come out and live openly as their authentic selves.

Join the BU LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff and the BU LGBTQIA+ Affinity Network on October 12 for this online roundtable. Meet BU alums from the LGBTQIA+ community, and celebrate National Coming Out Day by sharing your coming out story, as well as your experience (whether out or closeted) as a student at BU.
