LGBTQIA+ Scholars Series: Borderlanding Academic Researchers: A Range of Whisper Networks

Featuring Dr. Laura M. Jiménez, Associate Dean of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Wheelock College of Education & Human Development and Senior Lecturer in Literacy Education

Dr. Jiménez will address the ways academia restricts spaces - both physical and psychological - in which multiply marginalized people are allowed to inhabit by asking "how can we (re)imagine survival and success in academia?" by utilizing Gloria Anzeldúa’s concept of nepantla (in-between-ness) as a way to disrupt and rebuild these spaces.
