LGBTQIA+ Concerns in This Political Climate: Drop-In to Talk About Documents & Documentation at BUMC
- Starts: 12:30 pm on Monday, January 13, 2025
- Ends: 2:00 pm on Monday, January 13, 2025
Changes may be coming that necessitate some of us to update identity documentation (name and gender marker changes on documents) and build in family protections. Learn about helpful resources and work together on changes to documentation with people who are going through the same process or have done so before.
Additionally, LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff colleagues will be receiving feedback about the types of legal services our community members are seeking at this time. As we prepare to offer additional services in the spring and next year, we'd like to know if you are looking for help accessing resources for name and gender marker changes, second-parent and step-parent adoption, healthcare proxy and advance directives, power of attorney and end-of-life planning, asylum and immigration, and legal resources.
BU students, staff, and faculty are invited.
Please note that no lawyers will be present at this event and we are unable to provide legal advice.
Sponsored by the LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff
