Monthly Document Drop-in Q&A and Support at BUMC

Changes may be coming that necessitate some of us to update identity documentation (e.g., name and gender marker changes on documents) and build in family protections. Join us for this drop-in session with LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff colleagues to discuss your questions and concerns about documents and documentation, such as:

• Name Changes

• Gender Marker Changes

• Second-Parent and Step-Parent Adoption and Other Familial Concerns

• Healthcare Proxy and Advance Directives

• Power of Attorney

• Wills and End of Life Planning

• Legal Resources

Learn about helpful resources and work together on changes to documentation with people who are going through the same process or have done so before. We will continue to host weekly drop-in sessions for BU students, staff, and faculty every third Tuesday, this semester, at BUMC from 10 am – 3 pm. We will expand these to other dates and times based on demand.

Please note that no lawyers will be present at this event, and we are unable to provide legal advice.
