The Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground kicked off this holiday season with a Thurman family tradition: 12th Night Wassail. We recreated this special seasonal drink with the help of Boston University’s Gastronomy and Food & Wine programs. The recipe is featured in Recipes and Remembrances of Fair Dillard, recently published by Zella Palmer, chair and director of the Dillard University Ray Charles Program in African-American Material Culture.
