Amy Laskowski

Senior Writer

Amy Laskowski is a senior writer at Boston University. She is always hunting for interesting, quirky stories around BU and helps manage and edit the work of BU Today’s interns. She did her undergrad at Syracuse University and earned a master’s in journalism at the College of Communication in 2015.

In her work as a BU Today writer, Amy has reported on subjects like how climate change is sinking Venice, alligators in the Florida swamps, brewmasters at Harpoon and Brooklyn Breweries, and an alum working at Pixar. Oh, and she got to chase great white sharks in Chatham, too.

She grew up in nearby Medford (locals pronounce it “Medfid”), and when she’s not working, she enjoys cooking and the outdoors. At home, she and her husband are outnumbered by their three young daughters.
