Soliciting Student-Faculty Research Projects for New Campus Climate Lab

We’re seeking students and faculty to advance new research and help catalyze our community towards climate action.

BU Sustainability, in collaboration with the Office of Research, is soliciting ideas for Campus Climate Lab, a new initiative that supports student-faculty research designed to make Boston University’s campus and operations more sustainable. Projects can take many shapes, but all should (1) support the goals of the University’s Climate Action Plan, (2) be actionable so they can be integrated into the practices and culture of the University, and (3) include at least one faculty member and at least one student (undergraduate or graduate). For applicants who have not yet identified partners, we can help facilitate connections.

To submit a project idea, the student or faculty member must complete a short form on the Campus Climate Lab website by 5 pm on Monday, March 23. Teams with the most promising ideas will be invited to submit full proposals. Funding will be commensurate with project scope, with awards anticipated in the range of ~$1,000 to >$10,000 per year. Learn more on our webpage, or reach out to cclab@bu.edu with questions.
