Ella Zeldich, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Anatomy & Neurobiology at Boston University School of Medicine. She joined Dr. Carmela Abraham’s lab as a postdoctoral associate in 2011. She has been studying the link between Klotho and myelin. One of the laboratory’s focuses is the reduction of the accumulation of neurotoxic amyloid beta (Abeta), which is the main component of the amyloid plaques found in the brains of Alzheimer patients. Her research interests are Alzheimer’s disease and aging, neuroprotection, and klotho transcriptional regulation.
