Volunteer Opportunity at the Cambridge Women’s Center

WC flyer seeking volunteers 2015

The Cambridge Women’s Center is a local nonprofit organization that has been serving the women of the Greater Boston Area since 1971. We are committed to fighting for women’s rights, and to supporting the women of our community. To this end, we offer a wide range of services, including a volunteer-staffed hotline, a variety of free groups and classes, a stocked kitchen and regular community meals, a computer lab, and more.

Our Center is almost entirely run by volunteers, and we are currently recruiting for the Fall of 2015. We are seeking energetic and compassionate women to help with all of our programming, particularly during weekday daytime hours. We believe that this is a powerful opportunity for students and young professionals to gain real-world experience in the domains of peer counseling and nonprofit management, and to engage meaningfully with the community. We would welcome students from Boston University to apply. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Please feel free to contact judy@cambridgewomenscenter.org with any questions or concerns.

Best wishes,

The Women’s Center team
