BU Wheelock’s Master of Education (EdM) in Applied Human Development prepares youth-serving practitioners to assume leadership roles and responsibilities. You can choose from two concentrations inside of the Applied Human Development master’s degree: positive youth development and sports coaching. With a focus on applying theory to practice, you’ll be introduced to the concepts and intersections surrounding developmental theory, educational practice, and socio-cultural influences.
The flexible master’s in Applied Human Development is designed with working professionals in mind, and is toward professionals currently in youth-serving fields, as well those hoping to make a career transition. You’ll learn leadership, research, interpersonal communications, policy analysis, and more. Students can attend full- or part-time; they can matriculate during any semester; and most of our classes are held during the evening.
