Kimberly Howard Elected Education and Training VP for SCP

Kimberly Howard, associate professor and co-director of BU Wheelock’s PhD program in counseling psychology, was elected vice president for education and training for the the Society of Counseling Psychology (SCP), Division 17 of the American Psychological Association (APA). She will begin her term in August, following the 2019 APA Convention in Chicago.
As a member of the executive board, Howard will work with counseling psychologists and professors from across the United States to fulfill the Society’s mission “to promote personal, educational, vocational, and group adjustment in a variety of settings.”
“The role of the vice president for education and training is to provide information, resources, and activities to counseling psychology training programs that assist them in offering excellent training to the next generation of counseling psychologists,” says Howard.
