Racism in the Early Years: Transformation Rooted in Protection, Renewal, and Liberation Convening
- Starts: 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023
- Ends: 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023
The purpose of the Racism in the Early Years (REY) work is to expand the scientific knowledge about the effects of racism on infant, toddler, and preschool child developmental outcomes and to investigate and define the social determinants of health for these young children during this sensitive period of development. Our ultimate goal is to recommend family and community-centered policies that buffer family and children from adversity and advance their health, learning, social, and economic outcomes.
We want to recognize and express appreciation for the work dedicated to studying REY thus far, and we are grateful to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for creating this intellectual space for us to convene and collaborate on this issue.
